Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef 🥩
1/2 cup breadcrumbs 🍞
1 egg 🥚
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 🧀
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley 🌿
2 cloves garlic, minced 💡
1 cup marinara sauce 🍅
4 sub rolls 🍞
Provolone cheese, sliced 🧀
Fresh basil leaves, chopped (optional) 🌿
Preparation Steps:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). 🔄
2️⃣ In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and garlic. Mix well with your hands until just combined. 🤚
3️⃣ Use your hands to shape into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) in diameter. You should end up with around 20-25 meatballs. 🎀
4️⃣ Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving a little space between each meatball to allow for even cooking. 📈
5️⃣ Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until cooked through and lightly browned on the outside. 🍞
6️⃣ While meatballs are baking, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium-low heat. 🍅
7️⃣ Once meatballs are done, remove from oven and carefully place in marinara sauce to simmer for a few minutes to coat. 🍝
8️⃣ Slice sub rolls in half and place on a baking sheet. 🍞
9️⃣ Spoon 4-5 meatballs onto each sub roll, followed by a spoonful of marinara sauce and a slice of Provolone cheese. 🧀
1️⃣0️⃣ Bake for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. 🔥
Prep Time: 20 minutes
